Step 1 — Download
Grab the Quickstart. It includes the core flow, three character seeds, and a starter scene.

- Format: PDF (A4)
Step 2 — Gather
- People: 2–5 players (1 Guide + 1–4 Guardians).
- Dice: 1× d20 per player is ideal.
- Sheets: print from Downloads or jot on paper; pencils help.
- Time: a focused 90–120 minutes for the starter scene.
Step 3 — Create
Make your Guardian: concept → attributes → starting path. Use the seeds in the Quickstart or the full rules.
Step 4 — Run
Run the starter scene from the Quickstart. Keep the flow fast: lower initiative acts first; add the action’s AP/time to your total and pass spotlight.
- Use the Quickstart’s reference for checks and timing.
- Invite table rulings; note questions for later.
Step 5 — What’s Next
Prep
- Skim the Quickstart; print a one-page reference.
- Read the starter scene; highlight beats and threats.
- Review alignment meters (Good/Evil & Order/Chaos).
Session 0
- Lines/veils/safety tools; tone & expectations.
- Explain initiative: lower acts first; actions add AP/time.
- Establish table rulings and handwave policy for speed.
Run Scene
- Frame hard; ask questions; cut to action.
- Keep turns short; spotlight moves with initiative.
- Use range/speed penalties and cover when relevant.
Rulings & Timing
- Assign TNs (baseline 10; adjust for situation); apply dedicated Mana for sustained effects.
- Track MR and psychic limits; resolve botch/miscast quickly.
- Note questions; keep the flow—answer between beats.
After
- Debrief; mark alignment shifts; award progress.
- Collect feedback; log adjustments for next time.
- Pick the next mission or scene to explore.
